APTET January 2012 Update APTET January 2012 Update Hyderabad, November 26: The APTET January 2012 -the second Teachers Eligibility Test in Andhra Pradesh has received little response this time. Compared to the first test, the total registration for the 2nd APTET was low at 4.30 lakh as per the latest update .APTET is a must for the candidates planning to get in to teaching profession after B.Ed or D.Ed pass. For the first APTET held in the month of July, around 6.5 lakh candidates registered for the test.The 2nd APTET test scheduled on January 8th, 2102. The reason for the low registration is mainly because the changes in the eligibility rules. As per the new rules, B.Ed candidates are not eligible to write Paper-I. As per the NCTE rules, any teacher, who has to teach the class first to 8th must get the TET score. Meanwhile, the candidates who were in D.Ed second year got the court permission to sit for the APTET January 2012 test. There may be fresh update from TET office on this issue.
